We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG). Write to us first — we would rather settle it ourselves.

These terms apply to every order placed on saddlesilk.com with Higrate GmbH. Our range is aimed at consumers and businesses in the European Union.

How a contract comes about. Placing an item in your bag is not yet an order. The contract is concluded when we confirm your order by email after payment. Prices are shown in euro and include VAT. Tracked delivery is € 7,90 per order and complimentary above € 150; duties are paid by us.

Made to order. Each handle is cut and assembled by hand after you order it. Dispatch is normally within one week; if anything delays it, we write to you.

Payment. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The period ends fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you, take physical possession of the goods.

To exercise it, write to hello@saddlesilk.com with a clear statement of your decision. Sending the message before the period expires is enough. We refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within fourteen days of being informed — using the same means of payment you used, at no charge to you. We may withhold the refund until the goods are back with us.

Beyond the law. We give you thirty days in total, and we pay the return shipping. Send it back unworn, in its cloth wrapping, and we settle it quietly.

Tracked delivery is € 7,90 per order and complimentary above € 150. Within the EU, duties and taxes are included in the price you paid — nothing is owed at the door. Outside the EU, delivered duty paid wherever our carrier allows it; where it does not, we tell you before you pay.

Every handle leaves the atelier wrapped in a cotton furoshiki, in a plain box. No branding on the outside.

What we collect. When you order, we process your name, delivery address and email address to fulfil the contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). Payment data goes directly to Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and is never stored by us. Our host and our payment processor keep technical logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the service (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

How we count visitors. We use cookieless analytics: the number of visits and which pages were read, aggregated, with no cookie, no device fingerprint and no identifier that could point back to you. Because nothing personal is stored, there is nothing for you to consent to — which is why this site has no cookie banner.

What we do not do. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no profiling, no sale of data, no third-party audience lists.

How long. Order records are kept for the statutory retention period under German commercial and tax law (six to ten years). Everything else is deleted when it is no longer needed.

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to hello@saddlesilk.com — we answer within a few days, from a person, not a form.
